This week's word is brought to you by the letter "D"!
Didactic: Fitted or intended to teach; conveying instruction; instructive; teaching some moral lesson.
I feel this word is very fitting for my life this week, as I have had to make several tough choices, and therefore have learned a lot of life lessons. Going into detail would get too personal for a blog, so I will share some lyrics and a link to a song that has been on my mind today.
I took my love, I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older and I'm getting older too
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Till the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older and I'm getting older too
